Atome Collection

Atome Collection

‘Sexy, carefree and a little wild…’

Our first foray into swimwear, a long time coming but truly worth waiting for…fuelled by the magical energy of the ocean, the perfect rhythm of sunrises and sunsets and our love of sun-kissed, far flung adventures. Sensuous, slinky and bold, each piece capturing the irresistible feeling of an endless summer.

This collection draws on the same threads that are woven through Rat & Boa’s DNA - the powerful pull of nature and all its elements, our enduring wanderlust, the magnetic pull of sun-filled days and steamy nights in the tropics…the effortless ease and provocative undertones of summer.

From Rio to Ibiza, each bikini is inspired by the spirit of one of our favourite destinations and designed to be styled in as many ways as you can dream up. From barely-there string bikinis to ruched cups with a little more coverage and a unique shape – and vibrantly printed sarongs for you to mix and match with your favourite swimwear - pair them with a golden glow, layers of jewellery and the spirit of summer.

Easy and effortless, grounded with a flash of glamour, feminine, free-spirited and ready for anything.

We discovered that Jacques Heim created the first bikini in Paris in 1932 and named it the Atome. It felt like the perfect name for the collection - Atome sounds like atomic which means to create energy, and a sexy-fuelled energy was exactly what we wanted to bring to our first swimwear! We also thought that the name conjured the image of a sexy bombshell which is what we want women to feel like in our swimwear, and what we tried to capture with our imagery.

Golden skin. Glittering waters. Hot nights. Hedonism. Freedom.

Palette and print

Abstract florals and intricate psychedelic prints. We started the collection by looking at the vibrant spectrum of colours and scales in beautiful close-up images of butterfly wings and each print stems from a reference to nature.

Designing our first bikini together - it took many attempts to get that perfect fit.
